I’m a very positive person so when I have a bad day, it really affects me. Bad days happen to everyone, and they can really put you into a funk or bad mood.
When I have a bad day, I usually want to take some time to myself. I don’t really want to be around anyone, even though I love my friends. And sometimes you don’t want to explain why you’re in a bad mood to other people. There are a bunch of ways that you can pick yourself up and turn your crappy day around.
Here are some ways you can make yourself feel better when you’ve had a crappy day:
Watch Funny Videos On YouTube
Get lost in the world of YouTube. Start with some cat videos and end up watching compilation videos of elephants playing on the beach.
Read Your Favorite Book
I generally turn to my favorite book when I'm upset because I liked to get sucked into the story. Grab yourself some Harry Potter and whisk yourself away!
Go Look At/Play With Puppies
Okay, I do this every day because I live next to a puppy store. BUT if I have a really bad day, I go inside the puppy store. Find somewhere to play with or look at puppies and you will feel better in no time.
Eat Your Favorite Comfort Food
Mine is an entire pack of Oreos. Or mashed potatoes. It depends how bad my day is. Your favorite food is always an instant pick-me-up.
Call Your Mom
I call my mom a lot just in general, but especially when I'm having a bad day. She always know just what to say.
Watch A Feel-Good Movie
Watch a Disney movie or something silly like a classic Mary-Kate and Ashley flick. Just something to keep your mind off what a crappy day you had.
Go For A Walk
Sometimes you just need to get out and burn off some steam. If I'm in a particularly bad mood I'll just go walk around the park or around the block.
Take A Bubble Bath
Make sure it's full of bubbles! You can't be upset when bubbles are involved. Soak away your bad day.
