Seriously, your boobs are great. How do I know this? Because all boobs are great. Since your twins are so awesome, you should do awesome things for them.
You should get them fit for the right bra size. You should treat them nicely. You should appreciate your boob sweat.
And you should touch them. A lot. You heard me right. Touch yourself!
Why? Because the most important thing you can do for your ta-tas is keep them healthy! Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in women, and one in eight women will be diagnosed in their lifetime. That’s scary stuff! And that’s why checking your breasts frequently is so important.
Before I go on, let these hot guys convince you to grab your own boobs.
This video hails from Rethink Breast Cancer, a company that aims to raise awareness for breast cancer to the under-40 crowd. Their Your Man Reminder app is very real and very awesome. It features a hot guy of your choice (!!), allows you to set reminders for your next self check, provides tips and info about breast cancer and lets you track whatever you find during your check.
Seriously, download this. You probably get checked by your doctor or gynecologist every year when you visit, but things can change very quickly so it’s important that you know how to perform a breast exam on yourself. The best part about self checks is that you can do them anywhere from your bed to your shower to your car while you’re stuck in traffic. I don’t care where you do it, just make sure that you do.
One of my best friends found a lump in her breast a few months ago and had to get it surgically removed. Thankfully, it was benign, but it was terrifying. I mean, she’s only 23!
If you notice anything abnormal, you need to go see your doctor and get checked out. It might not be anything, but it COULD be something. The sooner you notice a lump, the sooner you can get checked and treated. Checking your breasts regularly might also stop breast cancer cells from forming in the first place!
So do me and yourself a favor and grab your boobs.
Do you check your breasts? How often? Have you ever done a self exam? Tell us in the comments!
