Let me preface this by saying that fall is probably my favorite season. But every season has its cons, and fall does not fall short of them (hehe a pun!). I mean, summer is arguably the best season and it still sucks sometimes. No one is perfect!
While I’m sitting here all cozy in my sweater and thinking about the wonderful things fall has to offer like football (Roll Tide y’all) and pumpkin spice lattes and Thanksgiving and leaves, I’m also thinking about the terrible things about the season.
Here are the 8 absolute worst things about fall:
No More Summer Vacation
Going back to school is great, but long gone are the days of hanging out at the pool and doing nothing with your friends. Bye beach! Bye sun!
Remember how in the summer it would stay light until like 8:30 or 9? Yeah, that's not a thing anymore. Soon it's going to be dark by 5, and there's not a darn thing you can do about it.
Winter Is Coming
Yeah I'll take a large side of NOPE with that. The cold? The snow? The general loss of social life due to hibernation? I'm scared.
Sure, the ever-changing foliage is really pretty. For, like, five seconds. Then the leaves die and drop off and we're left with naked, sad-looking sticks.
Raking Said Foliage
Raking leaves is probably the worst chore next to cleaning all the toilets in your house. Raking sucks. And who's gonna have to do it? You, probably, because your mom thinks yard work is a good family bonding experience. Just me?
I love pumpkin pie and pumpkin spice lattes. But I don't need pumpkin incorporated into everything I consume. I don't want your stupid pumpkin-scented pasta sauce!
Lack Of Holidays
Fall has, what, two holidays? Halloween and Thanksgiving. Granted, they are awesome holidays, but come on!
Packing Up Your Cute Clothes
Say goodbye to your neon tanks, cute shorts and open-toed shoes. Fall clothes are pretty, but now we're all going to be wearing dull colors and sweaters until April.
