When you go through a breakup, all you want to do is wallow and eat Ben & Jerry’s and watch The Notebook. You want to wear sweatpants all day and not get out of bed. You don’t want to do anything.
And you certainly don’t want to see your now-ex. That’s a big, tall glass of NOPE. But at some point you have to start getting back to normal and start the healing process. It’s really hard to do, especially if you’re going to run into your ex. However, that’s bound to happen and it’s the worst.
You finally stop crying long enough to get yourself together.
You decide to brush your hair and put on some mascara. Waterproof, of course.
You give yourself some encouragement.
Maybe call a friend for a pep talk.
You go to school and walking down the hall feels like this:
You basically want to crawl back in your wallowing hole and die.
You successfully avoid your ex for the majority of the day.
And then it happens.
You’re hit with a surge of emotions and don’t know if you’re going to cry or throw up.
You muster up a “Hi” and aren’t really sure what to say.
You’re about to burst into tears.
Fortunately, a friend sees you struggling and comes to save you and whisk you away to Geometry.
Tomorrow will be better.
