If you haven’t noticed yet, today is Friday the 13th. Ooooh spooky! I personally am always nervous on Friday the 13th because as a clumsy person, it’s typically an unlucky day for me. And it already is. I tripped multiple times on my way to work, spilled water all over myself and have run into lots of things. Such is life, I suppose.
But this Friday the 13th means we’re almost halfway through September, and Halloween is right around the corner! Time to plan those costumes, ladies. Although I am very anti-scary, Halloween is pretty fun. I just don’t like to be terrified so I much prefer happy Halloween costumes and watching movies like Halloweentown instead of Scream.
We’re going to be bringing you lots of costume ideas from now until Halloween so you can have the best costume ever. Today, I’m kicking off with a cute roundup of DIY Disney Princess costumes!
Merida is obviously an awesome princess to be for Halloween because she is so cool. Maegan of Love Maegan has this amazing tutorial on how to get Merida's fiery red hair and hot outfit.
Um, how cute is this updated Snow White costume? The addition of the tutu makes my heart sparkle with delight!
Cassey from Blogilates made this super easy Pocahontas costume for the Disney Princess Half Marathon, but it also makes a fabulous Halloween costume.
If you're not looking to have an extravagant costume, try making one of these adorable princess crowns and pairing it with a dress!
This tutorial is a little involved, but the outfit is soooo pretty! You just need to do some thrifting and grab some fabric and ribbons. Maybe pick up a long blonde wig to complete the look.
Another awesome tutorial from The Sorry Girls has us going under the sea with this fab Ariel costume. If you want something a little more simple, try pairing a purple bandeau with a green skirt!
This tutorial shows you how to make your own version of Belle's famous ball gown, and I'm seriously tempted to run home and make it right now.
This Mulan costume is so easy, I can't believe I've never thought of it. I was hunting around for a warrior Mulan costume, but I loved this so much.
Have you planned out your costume yet? What are you going as? Are you going to use any of the above ideas? Have you seen any Disney Princess costume tutorials? Tell us in the comments!
