Here’s a fun fact about me: I used to be a chronic apologizer. I would apologize for everything! I was a total pushover with my friends and would apologize for fights that I didn’t even start. I’m really not sure what changed, but something did, and I’m a much happier person for it. Our very own Meg is a notorious apologizer as well. I told her to stop apologizing once, and she apologized for apologizing!
I think we fall into certain habits that then become very hard to break. For instance, I have a habit of eating the entire pack of Oreos when I buy it. It’s a bad habit, but there it is.
There are some things that we should all just stop doing. I know it’s hard to not do something that you’re used to doing, but if you stop doing these things, it will make your life sparkle much more than it already does!
First of all, you're not doing yourself any favors by faking an orgasm. You're only letting your partner continue to believe they're doing something right. And that means no orgasms for you. Don't fake it!
Lying About How You Really Feel
Be straight up about how you're feeling to your friends, boyfriend, girlfriend, parents, dog, whoever. Keeping things inside will only allow them to fester and get worse. Share your feels.
Flaking With A Bad Reason
So you don't want to meet your friend for lunch? Fine! But don't come up with some lame excuse that your neighbor's cat got food poisoning or whatever. Just explain that another day or time would work better.
If you have a problem with someone, don't be afraid to talk to them about it no matter who it is. Don't let something slide just because you're scared to confront the person.
Not Standing Up For Yourself
I'm guilty of this. Sometimes it's easier to just take something instead of standing up for yourself, but that's not right. It's especially hard to stand up for yourself if your friends are the ones bringing you down, but that's when you need to do it the most.
Not Texting First
Why do we still wait around for people to text us? Our fingers have the ability to text just as much as everyone else's! Just text first and get it over with.
Apologizing Too Much
The classic. If you shouldn't be apologizing, then why are you? Stop that.
What are some things you think you should stop doing? Do you do any of the above? Tell us in the comments!
