10 Geeky Celebrity Tweets About Harry Potter, Star Wars, Gaming and More!

These days, everyone is geeky about something. Being a geek about a TV show or a book series just doesn’t bring on the Revenge of the Nerds style response that it used to and that’s a good thing! Celebrities are totally guilty of this too, because whether we believe it or not, the truth is that deep down they’re all sorta losers like you and me (kidding, we’re fabulous, obviously). Twitter makes this fact even more clear and it honestly humanizes them in the best way. What’s cooler than finding out that your same celebrity falls into a similar pattern of laughing and crying and rolling around on the floor after an episode of [what]?

Here’s a roundup of 10 funny and geeky celebrity tweets that make us go, “OMG MTE!”

Anna Kendrick

Honestly, I'm inclined to agree.

Aisha Tyler

It's no secret that actress Aisha Tyler is a total gamer girl, but I couldn't help but laugh at her desire to lick the screen! I'm pretty sure that I've felt the same way, of course. But that's usually when Idris Elba is on my screen.

Ezra Koenig of Vampire Weekend

Okay, if you aren't following Ezra Koenig now, just do it already. Even if you don't like Vampire Weekend, do it. This guy is hilarious and weird and perfect.

Evanna Lynch

Evanna was the perfect Luna Lovegood, and it's so cute that she is still so attached to the character she played in the Harry Potter films!

Ellen Page

Gotta have faith.

Mindy Kaling

I agree with Mindy. False advertising. Running zombies are always ten times scarier than the slow moving ones. I mean, no matter what speed they're chasing you they always win, but still. Why don't more zombies just power walk instead?

Zachary Levi

Okay, if you're running an event called Nerd HQ, I think that you pretty much win all of the nerd points ever.

Kristen Bell

Game of Thrones fans will appreciate this...and relate.

Olivia Munn

Yoda and 4th of July...nothing more American than that.

Dylan O' Brian

Galaxy Quest. Enough said.

I hope the description for the Olivia Munn tweet is supposed to be a joke; it was posted on May 4th meaning that it was meant to honor Star Wars day, not the 4th of July.

    • No joke, I’ve totally been in 4th of July week mode. I haven’t really watched much Star Wars so I definitely wouldn’t have known that it was Star Wars day. Thanks for the heads up!
