I really don’t think that “having hair makes you a woman”- I do think its a personal preference. Some feel hair is uncomfortable, and some feel shaving is too much upkeep. Its really up to you considering it is your body. Some girls get little hair and some get a lot of hair. Its all normal and you should love your body, even if you shave/wax or go natural! Do what you want, but don’t expect others to want to get rid of hair or leave hair. I can’t count how many times I have heard girls talk about shaving or not shaving in disdain.

It just seems like too much of a hassle to me. Besides, it’s there for a reason, and if a guy wants to complain and say it’s gross, that’s very rude and simply dumb. I see no problem with it being there, why should anyone else?

Here’s a tip for first-time shavers scared of razor burn and pain: if you go WITH the direction of the hair, not against it, it doesn’t hurt and you run a very small chance of hurting yourself. Make sure the skin is as flat and taut as possible, and I never use a brand-new razor. I always make sure it’s a bit used so that it doesn’t cut me quite as easily. This method won’t get you a completely smooth feel, but it’s good enough to get rid of the majority of the hair.

I’m scared to shave because I’m sensitive (and a wimp). I don’t want to cut myself with the razor, and bleed and-oh God, blood. I don’t like blood. Don’t even try telling me it doesn’t hurt. Trust me, it will hurt me. I just know it. The problem is that I really need (and want) to shave my legs and armpits, but I just don’t want to have the trouble of, well, shaving.
