Get Yourself Professionally Fitted For A Bra And Thank Me Later

I have big boobs and a small frame, which means I have a lot of trouble finding bras that fit me or ones that actually relieve back pain. I used to have great posture until my chest popped up out of nowhere, and now I slouch just to ease some of the tension in my shoulders. It’s annoying. Jess can tell you all about how much it sucks to have big boobs.

But I do love my boobs because well, they’re great! I’ve never been fitted for a bra before, but we went to an event at Intimacy last night to peruse some of their new selections. They were offering free fittings, and I figured why not?

By taking just one look at me, my fitting stylist said I was wearing the wrong size and chuckled a little at how tight I had to make my band and straps just to stay on. Instead of using a measuring tape, the stylists at Intimacy use a holistic method where they determine everything by touch. You’d think it would be awkward with someone poking your boobs, but it wasn’t at all.

My stylist looked at my rib cage and shoulders and felt where my boobs were sitting in the bra I was wearing. After literally 1 minute, she said “Yup, you’re definitely in the wrong bra! I’ll be back.”

She came back with a ton of gorgeous bras. Like the prettiest bras I’ve ever seen! She carefully put me into each one and the difference was absolutely shocking. I mean, I have never felt so comfortable in a bra before. And my boobs have never looked so great! I immediately felt a relief in my back and shoulders, and I was standing up super straight.

I was amazed. When I asked what the size was, my jaw dropped. I went down two band sizes and up two cup sizes. I wanted to buy every single bra she put on me!

I didn’t make a purchase last night because the bras were super fancy and way above my budget, but now I know what size I should be looking for. When I put my bra on this morning I actually groaned because it was so uncomfortable compared the bras I tried on last night.

I seriously want all of you to go get professionally fitted like immediately. Don’t do it for me. Do it for your boobs.

I recently lost a lot of weight, so none of my old bras were comfortable any more, all too big and not supportive at all.
I went for a bra fitting last week, turns out I’ve dropped two cup sizes! My new bra is so comfortable, I never ever get the back pain I was suffering with before. :D
I need to get some more, once I have the money – I don’t want to have to wear my old ones ever again!

That same thing happened to me when I went to this place called Top Drawer and got fitted for the first time in a long time! I was extremely happy to get a bra that fit great and to know my actual size! It’s definitely worth the time and money…

They probably are. What’s the measurement around your ribcage under your boobs*? For your band size, go with something as close to that as you can, then keep making the cups bigger until all of your boob is inside (including all that boob at the sides). This may mean that you need above a D. That’s fine. Most people with noticeable boobs *are* really above a D. D is delicate.

      * NOT the measurement around your back and over the top of your boobs like VS’ website says for some insane reason. If you’re measuring at all, it should be, y’know, where the bra band actually goes.
