Does What You’re Reading Determine If You’re DTF?

Apparently there are all sorts of ways to tell if a girl wants to have sex. Like instead of just getting to know her and talking to her about it, you can just look at her hair color or see if her second toe is longer than her big toe or the book she’s reading.

Don’t believe me? Well, Jezebel did some digging on Miss Traveler, a dating website that matches “generous travelers” with “attractive travelers.” It’s interesting to say the least. They got a press release from Miss Traveler titled “Does Her Reading Material Reflect Her Willingness to Put Out?” Seriously, that is the real title.

Anyway, Miss Traveler did a “study” which surveyed a bunch of women about travel, relationships and reading material for six weeks. They took this information to correlate a woman’s willingness to have sex and the book she’s reading while travelling. SEEMS LEGIT.

According to this very scientific study, if a woman’s reading a “Blockbuster” like The Great Gatsby or Anna Karenina, “she’s probably hooked up with a stranger before, and history often repeats itself.”

REALLY? Oh but it gets better, you guys! “If she’s into mysteries and reading Gone Girl or 12th of Never, she ‘is probably more interested in the outcome of her book than hooking up with you.’” Again, they are totally serious about this “study.”

I’ve got to sound off here. I actually would love to know what my book choices say about my willingness to get it on. I read a large variety of books, so what does that say? I’m inconclusive? I don’t know.

What I do know is that the only way you can if a woman wants to have sex with you is if she consents to having sex with you. The style of shoe I wear or the kind of braid in my hair or the type of mints in my bag does not reflect whether I want to have sex or not. Nor does the fact that some days I read The Great Gatsby on the train and some days I read Game Of Thrones.

You want to know what the chance of me having sex with a guy who believes this crap? Infinitely zero.

What do you think about this study? Do you believe your book choice reflects your willingness to have sex? Tell us in the comments!

Yeah, definitely bull. I read “blockbuster” books all the time (actually reading Great Gatsby right now) and I’ve never hooked up with a stranger, and I doubt I will. I am SO tired of bs studies like this. It’s like… please, stop wasting our time with this crap.
