Measuring in at only 5’0, I’m a certified short girl. I’ve been dealing with being short my whole life because for some reason, it’s something that people feel they need to point out, constantly. I have almost always been the shortest girl in my class and there have been many, many times where I’ve heard people describe me as, “the short girl.” Not, you know, my name.
While I’ve always loved my height, I have to say that there are some things about being short that really, really suck. I think every petite girl out there will be able to relate to this list, because, let’s face it, this stuff has happened to all of us who will never, ever fit the modeling mold, no matter how hard we try. Oh my God! yes, I completely agree! When I first saw the topic I thought about all of the reasons to myself. i’m 5-foot and 16 and boys think I’m 12. I don’t mind girls thinking it because I can handle myself when it comes to girls. but what high school guy is going to date a girl that looks like she’s 12? short has it’s ups and downs, but I’ve never wished to be taller.

But because of shortness, I’ve actually to learnt to climb really good cause only thing I would eat when I was 5 was cereal and bowls were way too high for me to reach so I just hopped to the counter and got the bowl.
I love being short and get a giggle knowing how silly/cute it is when I can’t reach things, like the bowls in our kitchen. When we go through the first row I have to climb up on the counter to reach the bowls.
im not THAT short, but just my luck my friends mesure 5″8 and im you know…. just enjoying the weather down here
Ha! Agree. I’m 5’2″ and my ex was 6’2″. But he didn’t mind bending down to kiss me. But he would call me vertically challenged! Lol
You guys should do one about the perks of being short….that would be so good!

Meh, I have no problem being short (5’01″). I enjoy being called cute
^ my step sister Tessa that is almost for is almost 4ft and im almost 17 and 4’7 NO ONE really understands my pissed off-ness when it comes to being short and when people think its ok to put there hands on your shoulder or head -_-”. Or when you wear a dress and i look like a “life size doll.” Nothing ever fits rights and i hate it. Plus never finding shoes. I hate it because i could be emotional because nothing fits
Being short does have its good moments, like; getting to ride every ride out there
The last three are so accurate. Coming in at 5’3.5 and 119lbs I’m a shortie and slender. My Bf coming in at 6’7 and 270 lbs. You see the awkward turtle there. My feet dangle in most chairs and everyone LAUGHS. Though Im almost 17 and a junior I constantly get taken for a freshman… by freshman who are taller than me ! I absolutely love being short though!

I feel your pain. My little sister is 6 years younger and 5 inches taller.
My cousin who’s 6 years younger than me is as tall as me, im in high school..he’s NINE im gonna peek soon…he hasnt hit puberty yet!
Also how about being THE ONLY ONE who actually needs to get measured at an amusement park while your other friends just go right through
Hahah…I can totally relate! I’m sixteen and only 5’1…my ten year old kid brother is as tall as me!
