I have a confession to make: I’m a nerd. I like Harry Potter and Star Wars. (And Star Trek and Lord Of The Rings and Game of Thrones). I like video games. I read for fun. I can tell you when the Battle of Hogwarts happened and why Gollum calls The Ring his precious. I’m super excited about the new Star Trek and not just because Chris Pine is really hot.
I never understood why being a nerd is a bad thing. I mean, I don’t make fun of anyone for liking rom-coms or horror movies! I like what I like, okay? Let’s go through what it’s like being a nerd, shall we?
This is how you feel about anyone who hasn’t seen Star Wars.
You posted this or something related on your wall on May 4th.
Is Star Trek better than Star Wars?
But you can do this without trying.
When someone doesn’t watch Game of Thrones.
You so wish you had a pet dragon.
You believe in magic.
When someone doesn’t “get” Harry Potter.
When people try to tell you that these things aren’t real.
What you do when someone calls you a nerd as an insult.
Reading is not a chore.
The feeling you have when there will be a new book or movie.
When there are no more books or movies.
When people tell you the movies are better than the books.
Are you a nerd forever?
Are you a nerd? Are you proud of it? Tell us in the comments!
