I was a cashier at a fast food restaurant and I actually really liked it. The customers were often terrible, but my managers and coworkers were great and we were kind of a little family.

This summer I’m working as a technician for a summer stock theatre. I’m really not looking forward to being 4 hours away from home for three months since I’ve been away at school all year, but it’s my intended career and I need stuff for my resume.

I get to work with kids all summer and be outside doing activities and playing games with them. The great bonus? I work Monday through Friday from 8-4. My nights are always free for hanging out with friends or coworkers and my weekends are all about what I want to do. I couldn’t ask for a better job. I love getting to be around the kids and my boss and coworkers are totally awesome. Somehow I ended up with the best of both worlds.
