I’m so excited about seeing The Great Gatsby this weekend (it hits theaters on May 10!), that today I decided to dedicate a good majority of my day to the 1920’s – 1920’s style, that is. And I wanted to share with you guys! The 1920’s was a time period that gave us some seriously awesome fashion, from flapper dresses to elegant hair accessories to decadent jewelry.
If you haven’t really read The Great Gatsby for school (it’s okay, I won’t tell), get in the spirit of the movie by checking out these adorable clothes and accessories inspired by the 1920’s. You don’t need to dress up as a full-on Halloween-costume flapper in order to channel this vintage look – you only need to pick out some pieces like these. Check ’em out and get your vintage on!
Orange Aztec Print Flapper DressYou probably wouldn't normally associate the 1920's with Aztec, but I think the bold print gives this flapper-style dress a fun and more modern vibe. Bonus? It's also on sale. Get it fast! Buy it at RiverIsland.com for $60
Filigree Me In HeadbandThis super pretty floral headband is obviously inspired by the 1920's, but it's casual enough to not be so in-your-face about it. Buy it at Modcloth for $39.99

Fan Flair TightsWomen in the 1920's very rarely stepped outside without wearing a pair of tights. These look like vintage thigh-highs, but they're really not. The tiny dots, lace fans and bows will definitely complete any look. Buy these at Modcloth for $14.99
Verdant It Be Lovely? EarringsI'm obsessed with these gorgeous green earrings. Don't they look like they belong in the movie The Great Gatsby? The best part about them has to be their price... I would wear these constantly! Buy these at Modcloth for $14.99
Blush Drop-Waist DressOne of the biggest trends of the 1920's were drop-waist dresses. This simple one is a great choice because you have so many accessory options - you can go full-on '20s, or you can make your look a little bit more modern. Buy it at DorothyPerkins.com for $55
