NuvaRing
NuvaRing is a combination birth control ring that contains estrogen and progestin, and it works just like combination birth control pills. Instead of taking a pill though, you insert a vaginal ring that releases the hormones. You take it out after three weeks, go a week without for your period and insert a new one. It’s 99% effective when used correctly.
NuvaRing carries the same side effects as combination birth control pills and also has the risk of vaginal irritation. It also does not protect against STDs. NuvaRing can come out, so it’s really important to check and make sure that you have it in correctly.
