I’m not good with rain because I’m really terrible at handling umbrellas and my hair does not like moisture. I don’t mind a little drizzle, but when it comes to torrential downpours like we’ve had today, I just can’t. I’m not made for this!

Well, today was an epic failure of rain adventures. I left my apartment looking all casual and chic and showed up looking like I went swimming in the Hudson.

I thought I’d walk you through how to survive a rainy day.

Do your hair and makeup and be fabulous

 
Admire your cute outfit

 
Ask a friend what the weather is like outside to make sure you’re good to go

 
Step outside

 
Express your feelings

 
Do this to your umbrella when it flips inside-out beyond recognition

 
Struggle really hard with your jacket

 
Attempt to work the rainy look

 
But end up looking like this

 
Shake off once you get inside

 
Put your hair up, and let everyone know this is no time for Instagram

 
Seriously, work that up-do

 
Accept your mistakes

 
Moral of the story: ALWAYS check the weather
