I’ve got one.in 4th grade I kept my pads and meds in a bag and I kept that in my hood pocket.but when I was in line to leave,it fell out in front of my male Soc studies teacher.I was mortified,as I went to pick it up he grabbed it before I did and took it away from me, expecting that I took candy and hid it in the bag.he said he would give this to the principals, and kept it the entire day.I survived off of toilet paper and at the end of the day they called me to the principals and I was so embarrassed at that point cause I had bled through and nervous. He yelled at me cause we weren’t allowed to keep things during a test, then he looked inside.he was as white as a ghost.the next day all my teachers looked at me with sympathy except my soc studies teacher when I asked to used the bathroom.all the boys found out too.ugh, worst week of my life

So today I was at school and yesterday I started and of course I told my best friend (don’t worry its a girl) And I had CRAMPS and she told me to go to the office or else she would tell our teacher because it was really bad..(also the teacher is a girl) So the boy next to us over heard it and made a song about it to the tune of I knew you were trouble… EMBARRASSING!

I had a similar experience(see below), but everyone either forgot or didn’t really care. Hopefully it was the same way with you!

This is less embarrassing. This story makes me glad to be surrounded by such awesome people. So, yesterday I was at my best friend’s house. The two of us are so close that it’s disturbing. But I had already bled through my jeans, and was wearing a pair of her sweats. We were sitting on her parent’s bed watching TV, and I was sitting on a thin sweatshirt, to make sure I didn’t get any on the bed. Didn’t work. Her mom was about to drive me home. I got up, saw the blood and told my friend. She assured me that it’d be fine, and she went to tell her mom. Her mom was so sweet about it, I was so grateful. She told me it was totally, and that they have stain remover for that very reason. I felt totally fine talking about it(mostly cuz I’ve known their family since I was born).

I asked my history teacher if I could use the bathroom. He asked if I could wait, I COULD NOT but I didn’t want to announce it to the entire class, so I said sure. I got blood on the seat, and my pants. Next hour, I was in Gym (but we don’t change in our gym class, so I was wearing the same pants), and this girl I hardly know came up to me and says “I think you should go to the bathroom”. I had been up in front of the class too, and I’m pretty sure everyone saw it. That includes this guy I like. But this girl lent me her jacket to tie around my waist. This happened TODAY, so I’m still pretty mortified.

I was on a date in a restaurant and there, me and my date where sitting on white chairs so then I felt a cramp and abit weird so I go up to go to the bathroom when there was a blood stain on there but then I had only seen in when I came back and me and my date both looked at each other and I went bright red and I was so embarrised because I really liked him so had to go home so he drove me home and I apologised in the car and he said its fine I don’t mind I still like you and it’s only natural, he was trying to calm me down, so I arrived and got home and changed but oh my sweet Jesus I haven’t spoke to him since.

Okay so last Friday I was in my friend’s car and we had just gotten in n out after school and she was driving me home. I hadn’t had the chance to change for about 2 hours. While we were in In-N-Out, this stranger lady pulled me aside to tell me I had a stain on my dress. I didn’t have any pads with me and my friend was sitting pretty close by, so I couldn’t do anything about it. When I got out of the car when they were dropping me off, I saw a big, messy, bloody stain on the seat I had just stood up from. I tried not to let my horror show as I closed the door, waved goodbye, and walked (backwards) into my house. It’s Sunday today and I have to face her at school tomorrow. I am so freaking grossed out and mortified, and I can only imagine how she must feel. Ugh.

Mine isn’t embarrassing but it was fairly scary for a first period. I first started when I was fourteen. I was lying on a couch at home and I felt kind of gross, so I looked down and sure enough I found blood. I ran upstairs and waited for my mom to get home. Luckily for me, she was supposed to come home and pick me up anyways. I told her straight away because I was freaking out, but she had to go back to work, so she showed me where my sister keeps her pads and left. I had been diagnosed with anxiety and depression earlier that year and I hate to admit it, but I was ‘watching’ my already low weight (I did not have anorexia, but I was scared it could turn into something serious like that) to ensure my period would come later. When that dreaded day did come, my anxiety became so overwhelming, that I was pacing back and forth and felt really unsettled and sick. I actually passed out on the carpet, home alone. After about five minutes I realized what had happened and got up, but I was so scared and so stressed out, I cried in the shower for literally two hours until I felt a bit better. For the next four days, I was really depressed and anxious, but eventually I got used to the idea. What I hate is how people never really show the impact your first period can have on a girl with both anxiety and depression, but it did workout in the end.

So… this happened last night. My boyfriend and I went on a double date with his best friend and his girlfriend. After dinner we hop back in the car and head home. I felt like I may be leaking through my tampon but didn’t think much of it. My boyfriend, being the gentleman he is, runs to my car door and opens it for me to get out. I get out and grab my purse…. as I do this I notice a little red patch on his car seat. He didn’t seem to notice so we go inside. The whole night I’m thinking of how I can clean it up without him knowing or wondering if he’ll even notice the next time he’s in his car. Now it’s 10 AM and he just left for work and I’m sweating bullets wondering if he saw it or not and if he’s totally creeped out. Ahhh! The anxiety is killing me!
