I got my glasses way back when in elementary school and I’ve never looked back (I guess that’s kind of a pun?). Anyway, as I’ve said before, I love all of the cool ladies on television who rock glasses just like me. They are just a fun way for self-expression and you can’t really beat being able to de-blurry your life.
Now, it’s been a little while since I got my current glasses, so I haven’t re-lived to entire experience in a while. Well, luckily GIF Girl is making a trip to get glasses so that I can be reminded of the wonderful journey that is getting a pair of specs.
I lost my glasses kind of a while ago (oops), so I’m heading to finally get a new pair and transform my look.
Apparently though, I need to update my prescription so we have to visit the eye doctor first
I have to do all the usual eye tests. Is this a joke? I cannot read that wall poster at all.
I swear it’s the posters that are blurry. I decide to act out and throw a tantrum at the eye doctor’s office.
Okay, maybe that was too much. Please just give me glasses now?
I get the prescription and it’s on to shop. I try on the first pair… AHHH not those ones
Or the second ones.
The guy working there tells me I need to just find something for my face shape.
But inside I’m like, how do you even know what a face shape is?
Once, I’ve tried on too many with no luck, I start getting frustrated.
And my mom is offering too many opinions about what she likes.
Wait… wait… THIS PAIR! I strike a pose. I look great.
I can see! It’s amazing!
These are perfect! I’ve already decided to buy them. The sales guy asks if I even know the price.
I walk out rocking my brand new glasses. The moral of today’s story?
