There are some cartoons out there that are silly, stupid, completely pointless and only there for your entertainment. And then there are cartoons like Rugrats, which, if you’re a ’90s kid like me, can give you tons of life lessons. I mean, come on – when it comes to cartoons about babies, nothing can beat out characters like Tommy, Angelica and their gang of awkward friends.
Since I am obviously a fan of the show, I’ve put together a few life lessons I learned from watching Rugrats obsessively as I was growing up. Okay fine, they’re not all super serious, but who says all life lessons have to be that way? Check out 20 things I learned from Rugrats – in GIF form, of course.

The correct way to eat snacks:
Sunglasses always make you look cooler.
Naps are the best. Period.
The only acceptable answer to anything when you’ve had the worst day in the world.
Being naked is normal. So take off your clothes!
The only acceptable way to eat chocolate.

How to put on blush (maybe not so much).
The perfect evil laugh technique.
How to have the perfect end to a long day.
How not to run away from something or someone.
Sometimes you just have to say…
Taking a glimpse into the future is always a bad idea.
