We live in the digital age now where everybody broadcasts everything about their lives. I mean, nothing is private anymore! I’m totally guilty of the social media addiction. I rarely go to brunch now without uploading a shot of my meal to my followers.
However, I’m more partial to some social media outlets than others. I used to be all about Facebook back in the day but now I’m really into Twitter. Your social media preference can say a lot about you!

The Morning After
@salena I think that’s pretty cruel. I mean, the only social media site I use is Instagram, but I don’t do it to take pictures of random things and act like I’m a hot shot photographer. In the same way, I’m pretty sure that most people using other sites don’t do it for publicity or for getting compliments anonymously or trying too hard to be hipster. Yeah, there’s some annoying people out there who do post selfie after selfie, but we’re not all like that. Surely you must use a social networking site too to be able to pass judgement? All I’m saying is that it’s not nice to call people ‘lazy daydreamers’ or telling people they’re ‘trying to hard to be cool’ or saying that when people try stuff it turns out ‘like crap’. That’s harsh, and too generalised. I’m sorry if I’ve offended you with this mini rant, but I think that this had to be said
I am a Facebook lover, and the description sounds pretty much exactly like me!
Nah this is how I would describe them:
Facebook – the only true popular social media website everyone and anyone still has one convenient for many things including a time killer haha
Twitter – hipsters think they are “too cool” for facebook when twitter is really just pointless
Tumblr – phonies and try-hards (also generally hipsters) use anonymity and stick to 1 theme to have other random people follow them so people can tell you “how cool” you are anonymously
Instagram – you have an expensive phone that you use to take pictures of random stuff that no one really cares about you aren’t really cool (although you may think you are) and you are in no way a “photographer”
Pinterest – lazy daydreamers that like to look at things other people make but never make it themselves and even in the rare chance they do try to make something is turns out like crap
Myspace – “no ones” have these Myspace used to be the actual popular social media website before Facebook but now no matter how many times they try to change themselves it is still a major flop a few young hipsters joined this last big change but even they then realized it isn’t worth it it is time for myspace just to let go and the past be the past haha
The Instagram one is only half true. Sure you have to have an expensive phone, but I think that fan blogs have taken over ig. Though, I am getting tired of instagram because 1 out of 2 people are obsessed with having lots of followers, so your feed is full of shoutouts and whatnot- instead of what you want to really see.
Same goes for Tumblr, though there’s less competition for followers. Fans of different fandoms are taking over everything- twitter, pinterest, instagram, tumblr
