Because stupidity never takes a day off, neither does blowhard Rush Limbaugh. The conservative radio host and professional jackass’s latest outrageous statement? That all lesbians promote obesity and substance abuse. Wait, WTF?

The idiot spoke on air about two studies that he, for some reason, has trouble identifying now. One of these studies supposedly said that most lesbians are obese, and the other stated that many lesbians are alcoholics and substance abusers. And because he’s Rush Limbaugh, he put it in the most offensive way possible, because, well, how else is he going to get attention?

He got onto the subject when it was revealed that the cousin of Supreme Court Justice John Roberts’ cousin, Jean Pedransky, is a lesbian–and would be attending the Supreme Court hearings about Proposition 8 and the Defense of Marriage Act, which will determine whether or not gay marriage equality comes to pass.

Here are his words:

“I can’t ask whether chief justice’s lesbian cousin is any of those things, because people would think I’m being mean.”

And:

“And, of course, the answers to the first case is they don’t have to deal with men, so they don’t have to worry about their appearance. They’re not trying to please men. So they can be obese. It’s no big deal. Alcohol, who knows? They’re having to deal with women so they’re drunk.”

Wait, what? First of all, let’s be honest. If being homosexual were a choice and the only men out there were men like Rush Limbaugh, there would be a lot more lesbians running around. But that doesn’t mean all those lesbians would let themselves go. Lots of lesbians take pride in and care of their appearances because guess what? Lesbians are people. And that’s what most people do, whether or not they like men, women, parakeets, whatever.

Second, you know who has substance abuse problems? People. People including Rush Limbaugh, who also–surprise!–has struggled with obesity. Have a seat, sir. In fact, have several seats. You probably need them.
