Create piles
My go-to piles are always keep, donate and trash. When going through each section, you simply place things in each pile as you go!
This not only makes the whole process really quick, but it also allows you to see everything separately. You might notice something in the trash pile that you actually want to keep or donate. It’s just a good visual compartmentalization.

We always do our big yearly cleaning session before Chinese New Year’s–so the house is clean by February at the latest! (For the record, I hate spring cleaning)
