Asking a guy out can be kind of intimidating. It’s hard to ever put your feelings out there for someone and hope that they feel the same way back. Wouldn’t it be great if asking someone out wasn’t so nerve-wracking?
If only there was a lazier way to do it, you may wish. Well, if you did indeed wish that, I have come up with a few ideas that make the whole asking him out process a little less daunting and way more simple. While I can’t guarantee they will actually land you a date, I mean they are maybe (uhhh, big maybe) worth a shot to land that first date…
If You're A Little Shy
Too scared to ask him out loud? Write it down! If you're nervous though about someone finding it, that's easy enough to fix. Just write it out in invisible ink! Don't be worried about him not being able to read it though, because I'm pretty sure if it's fate, he will figure out how to read the blank page soon (well, hopefully). Instead of turning to him and flat-out asking him out during chemistry, just start tapping it out in Morse code on your desktop. He's smart and should be able to figure out what you're saying, right? If you really want to make it clear, just use a fist to pound out all the Morse code. How much more obvious can you get? Source: Shutterstock.comUse Hints
Ask him out anonymously, but give hints about who you are to help inform his decision. Post it as a sign on his locker: "Want to go out with THE COOLEST GIRL IN SCHOOL?!" That way you don't have to worry about getting tongue-tied when you ask him out, but he will obviously know the message is from you without you having to officially reveal yourself! Record his voice throughout the day until you get all the words that make up "Will you go out with me?" Obviously they may not be in that order, so a little audio editing may be necessary to help him out and string them together for him (I mean, that's what he was trying to do all day, right?). You're off the hook for needing to ask him out, because you now have proof that he asked you first! Source: Shutterstock.comMumble It
Just mumble "Want to go out with me?" under your breath before saying more clearly, "Soooo, yes or no?" Usually in these situations people don't want to seem like they weren't listening, so you have 50/50 odds he'll just say "yes" and hope that was the right answer (and in this case, it totally would be!). Now, how to covertly let him know where your date location is might be a new challenge, but you'll probably figure it out. Source: Shutterstock.comIt's All About Timing
So your group of friends is headed to the movie at 8:30, but you just happen to slip on the time and tell this guy it's 6:30. When you both show up early you suddenly remember. Silly you! Two hours of just you guys waiting around for the rest of the crew? That sounds like an impromptu date to us! You never even had to officially ask! Source: Shutterstock.comFate Is Convenient
Worried that last one might seem a little obvious? Instead, mention that your cousin is setting you up on a blind date with her friend, but she wants you to set her up on a blind date in return. Would your crush be interested? When the night of the double date rolls around... Oh no, neither of your dates "showed up" (you know, maybe because you made the whole thing up). Well, that's convenient! He'll probably be cool with you guys not letting those restaurant reservations go to waste... aka your first date! Source: Shutterstock.comCell Phone Fake-Out
Get sneaky and change your contact info in his phone to his favorite celeb. When he sees her texting him asking to go out, he'll probably say "yes." I mean, the message DID come from your number so it's not totally made up that his "yes" was directed at you. Source: Shutterstock.comGet Dramatic
Partner up with him in drama class. Oh, the dialogue you chose just HAPPENS to include your character asking him out? I mean, cast members who date in movies often end up together, so this plan is basically a foolproof way of starting a totally epic relationship. Source: Shutterstock.comDream Up The Perfect Ask
Wouldn't it be great if you could ask him out in a way that's just like a movie scene? I mean, you totally can. Just daydream about it! You can make up the most lavish perfect date all in your head — and it's totally free! There's absolutely zero fear of rejection and you conjure up as many happy "memories" as you like. This is so overly attached girlfriend.
I’m the most shy person when it comes to admitting my feelings for a guy. But there was this guy at my college who I really thought was cute and I knew I had to do something. So when he was working on campus one day, I went up to him and asked him if he’d like to get to know each other better over dinner that night (I think I was shaking the whole time haha) And it worked! Scariest thing of my life but it sure paid off! I think I found my soulmate
this is the first “lazy girl’s guide” that i’ve actually found funny, well done
