Beauty Shortcut: Prevent Fallout With Powder

You know when you’re doing your eye makeup and everything else looks totally perfect, but you all of a sudden get a bunch of fallout (all those tiny makeup particles) on your cheeks? It’s awful!

And personally, I don’t like to do my eye makeup before I do my face. Maybe I’m just stubborn and don’t want to change my routine, but whatever.

Every time I would do my eye makeup, I’d end up with so much fallout that I looked like a member of KISS. And then I’d have to wash off my makeup and re-conceal the bags under my eyes and end up late for work, which added a whole other level of stress that I really didn’t need. It was just a big disaster.

Well I wish I knew this super easy trick when I started wearing makeup: create a layer of powder under your eyes to brush fallout away! This way you don’t have to rub or mess up your face makeup by trying to clean it off!

All you need is some kind of loose powder, any brand will do! I have a tub of Bare Essentials that I use just for this trick.

Here’s what you need to do:

1. Before applying eye makeup, apply thick layer of powder right under your eyes

2. Apply eye makeup as you wish

3. Use a big, fluffy powder brush to dust off the powder from under your eyes

4. Ta-da! You’re set!

Talk about easy, right?

I’m a huge makeup user, and no offense, but how about you use a tissue under your eye. Like, why would I waste a ton of powder every day just to wipe it off. It doesn’t seem practical, sorry.

Using a tissue is another option, but it’s difficult to keep in place while you’re trying to do your makeup. The powder I use is an old one that I don’t use anymore so I don’t feel it’s wasteful because I’d just throw it out anyway. I learned this trick from a makeup artist friend of mine so I wanted to share!
