Quvenzhané Wallis may have lost out on Best Actress at the 2013 Oscars to Jennifer Lawrence, but holy moly if she didn’t win at life. She was, hands down, the most adorable person in the Kodak Theatre–she looked so pretty in her navy blue gown, and she had a puppy purse, okay? A puppy purse.
Of course, since Quvenzhané Wallis is only nine years old, she may not even quite realize the magnitude of her nomination (she was the youngest person to ever get a Best Actress nod!), and chances are a lot of Seth MacFarlane’s jokes went over her cute lil’ head. That actually makes us like her more. She’s not in it for the rat race, the politics or the posturing. She’s in it for a good time and the chance to stay up past her bedtime surrounded by famous people.
