Last night at the Oscars, it wasn’t a sure bet who was going to take home that Best Actress statue, as there were five amazing performances nominated this year. However, because I have dreams of Jennifer Lawrence being my BFF (and okay, also my life coach), you can guess my excitement when she won (!!!) and headed to the stage. Then this happened:
While I would never wish a trip on anyone, I feel like this situation just reinforced what everyone already loves about Jennifer Lawrence – her realness, her relatability, and her fierce sense of humor.
Jennifer turned an embarrassing moment into one that she could play for laughs. Seriously, that quip about the standing ovation was a true work of comedic quick thinking. This is probably one of the biggest achievements of her life and letting something kind of silly like tripping ruin all of that would be a shame.
So not only am I totally psyched that Jennifer won, I’m glad that she proved yet again that she is one of the coolest women in Hollywood. I can only hope we see and hear a lot more of her for years to come. Also… is it time for Catching Fire, yet?!

JLaw is amazingg ! She brings every movie she’s in to another level and it sucks you in so you can’t stop watching. I love her she is so cutee and quirky. BTW Catching Fire Nov.22 I’ve had it saved on my calendar since they announced it. They made me wait much too long !
I love JL and I don’t care if she tripped. She handled it great! Her dress was absolutely gorgeous and I’m totally happy she won! You go Jennifer. Can’t wait for Catching Fire!!!!
As soon as I saw it happen, my first thought was concern, because you can twist an ankle that way, but once I realized she was okay, I just knew she’d own up to it and make a joke, and sure enough…. I was so psyched when she won, because she so deserved it.
