Spring is right around the corner, you guys. I’m definitely excited because it’s freakin’ cold up here, and I can’t take it for much longer.
I am so ready to rock spring outfits, but I’m looking a little less tan than usual. Pale is beautiful, don’t get me wrong! But I’m used to being super tan because I usually get more sun exposure than I have in recent months.
If you’re feeling the same way, don’t hit the tanning bed. Seriously, don’t do it! I’ve got some ways that you can fake looking tan without hitting the fake rays!
Crest Whitestrips
Whitening your teeth instantly makes you look tanner because of the contrast. Jamie used these on an episode of See Gurl Try if you want to see how they work!
Fake Bake Bronzing Gel
There are a ton of self tanners out there, but this one from Fake Bake is my absolute favorite. Fake Bake is one of the only self tanner brands that hasn't turned me orange! The important thing to remember with self tanners is they all react differently for everyone so try a few out and see what works for you.
Jergens Natural Glow Face Moisturizer
Keep in mind that there's a difference between body tanner and face tanner. If you want to use self tanner on your face, get one formulated specifically for it. This Jergens Natural Glow face moisturizer is light and gradually builds a tan.
Sephora Bronzer
When it comes to bronzer, I love a big compact that I can use a large fluffy brush with. This Sephora bronzer is perfect for bronzing your face and body. Swipe on your cheeks and down your nose for a sunkissed look and dust your collarbones to give a tanned effect.
e.l.f. Facial Shimmer in Lilac Petal
This is the perfect dupe for Benefit's High Beam highlighter. Apply a highlighter on your brow bones and above your cheek bones for a subtle shimmer effect. Or mix it in with your foundation to add a soft glow, which makes you appear tanner.
White Eyeliner
Any brand will do! This one from Wet n' Wild is only 99 cents so I usually go for that. Using white eyeliner on your bottom waterline makes your eyes look brighter and whiter, which makes you appear more tan. Also, rubbing white eyeliner on either side of the bridge of your nose between your eyes has a similar effect!
