It’s Friday! That means the weekend has arrived! As you may recall, this weekend has a bit of a cause for celebration as it is Super Bowl Sunday!
Hopefully you don’t feel the need to ruin a Super Bowl party, but instead can find something about the day to love. I am not even that big of a football fan, but I still enjoy the day because there really is a flurry of activity going on.
So go get your homework done early, because you don’t want to miss out on all the fun on Super Bowl Sunday (believe me – I’ve been there, and it’s the worst). Check out our ten reasons why you should enjoy Super Bowl Sunday this year!

Okay, it’s the obvious one, but if you like football, the Super Bowl is kind of THE day for that. Whether your team has made it all the way to the Super Bowl or you simply like the strategy and excitement of the sport, there’s certainly a lot of football buzz to keep you happy all day. Before the game even starts, we'll get to hear Alicia Keys sing "The Star-Spangled Banner." Also, it was announced yesterday that Jennifer Hudson will sing "America The Beautiful" along with the chorus from Sandy Hook Elementary School, which will surely be a really moving and beautiful moment. Many people bond over their shared love of sports and specific teams, and the Super Bowl is a great day to hang out with people important to you and share in a long-time tradition. So yeah, there will always be someone who has to lose during a big game like this, but I like to focus on how its a feel-good moment for the winners. Even though I don't love football, I do like seeing how genuinely excited members of the winning team are after the game. I started watching Grey’s Anatomy because I stuck around after the Super Bowl to watch a super dramatic episode. Not into football? Well, Super Bowl Sunday basically marks the end of football for a while. You can take that as a reason to celebrate that soon the focus will be on a sport you enjoy more, whether it's March Madness college basketball, the NBA, the NHL or even the start of baseball in a couple months.
