Before she was getting nominated for Oscars and winning her SAG Award, there was a Jennifer Lawrence commercial!
If you watched J-Law’s SAG acceptance speech, she thanked MTV for casting her in her first commercial when she was 14, allowing her to get her SAG card. It turns out, there wasn’t just one Jennifer Lawrence commercial–there were two! She was the star of two 30-second shorts for My Super Sweet 16, and she was a lot different from the Katniss Everdeen we’ve grown to love.
In the videos, Jennifer Lawrence plays a spoiled brat whose big 1-6 goes all sorts of wrong. In one, she gets covered in cake, and in another, she falls flat . . . literally.
It’s pretty awesome that J-Law didn’t forget her roots considering she’s one of the biggest stars on the planet right now, but that just cements some of the many reasons we all love her so much–she’s so real and down to earth, and is pretty much the farthest thing imaginable from a diva in Hollywood. We doubt that she’d ever be as bratty as one of the subjects of My Super Sweet 16, but she plays it off beautifully, doesn’t she?
