In a world where we have One Direction serenading us about not knowing we’re beautiful, it seems like we all need dudes to tell us how beautiful we are. I worry that we have become too reliant on what guys think. Obviously, it’s wonderful to hear a guy tell us we’re pretty and great. But it’s not the only thing that matters.
I definitely get a huge ego boost when guys look at me or say I’m gorgeous when I’m walking around town. I feels great! I mean, sometimes I’m a little creeped out, but it’s still flattering. But I don’t rely on comments from guys to feel good about myself. I absolutely love me, and I think I’m a cutie. But I know as a person, I’m beautiful. I have a huge heart, I’m nice. I think people who know me would say I’m a solid human being.
I want you to know that no matter what a guy says, you are beautiful.
You are beautiful when you wake up in the morning.
You are beautiful when you’re blowing out your crazy hair.
You are beautiful when you stuffed too many Thin Mints in your mouth.
You are beautiful when you’re eating butter because butter is not a carb.
You are beautiful when you have the flu and you feel really gross.
You are beautiful when you wash your face and have mascara all up under your eyes.
You are beautiful when you’re working out and really sweaty.
You are beautiful when you laugh.
You are beautiful when you cry (even if you have Kim Kardashian’s cry face).
You are beautiful when you sleep.
You are just straight up beautiful and amazing. Don’t ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
Do you need a guy to tell you you’re beautiful? Do you think you’re confident? What do you do to be confident in yourself? Tell me in the comments!
