My favorite movie of all time is probably When Harry Met Sally. If you’ve ever seen it, then you know that the central question asked is “Can men and women actually be just friends?” You know, without the whole wanting to get together thing getting in the way of the friendship. I won’t spoil the ending if you’ve never seen the movie, but it’s also a question that gets thrown around a lot in everyday life too.
After we wrote up a piece about a new study that said it’s not likely that “just friends” can be a thing, I really enjoyed reading your responses as some disagreed with what we wrote and some of you shared your own feelings and experiences. Thinking about our friends who become our crushes or who get a crush on us is still something that many of us will go through at one point or another, so for this week’s comments, I wanted to highlight what you guys were thinking about platonic relationships!
Do you have an opinion on the “Can guys and girls be friends?” debate? Have you ever dealt with having a crush on one of your guy friends? What about one of your guy friends having a crush on you? How did you handle it? Tell us in the comments!
