If you’re pining over the end of the Harry Potter movies, you’re not alone. And you may not have to for too long–because a new, ninth Harry Potter movie is in the works! … Sort of.
A new Harry Potter mini movie is being filmed with the original cast—Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint (swoon!), Tom Felton, Helena Bonham Carter and Co. are joining forces again! But don’t start lining up or refreshing Fandango to buy tickets for a midnight show. The movie’s only going to be shown in Harry Potter theme parks.
A spy told The Sun that the cast and crew are just as stoked to reunite as you are to see them donning their capes again. “The cast have really enjoyed getting back together–they are so tight-knit,” a source spilled. “The shooting schedule is nowhere near as long as the films, so though filming has been intense, the stars have enjoyed being able to pop in and out.” That comes especially in handy for Emma and Daniel, who have been in a slew of movies and projects lately and could use the flexibility.
The mini film will premiere at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter park in Florida, and will also be shown at upcoming Harry Potter theme parks in California and Japan. (California’s will open in 2014 and Japan’s in 2016. Get your frequent flyer miles ready!)
Are you going to see the new mini Harry Potter movie? Will you go to the Harry Potter theme park just to see the new mini movie? Who’s your favorite Harry Potter cast member? Tell us in the comments!
