Taylor does so mention names in her songs. If she doesn’t, she leaves hints in the lyrics. I love her, but she does do it. At least in Red she hasn’t done it, which is good.

She doesn’t hint who the songs are about. The media pries into her life and speculates about it. She has never talked about her personal life. She avoids it in every single interview. She could go around and admit it on all the talk shows, but never has. How can you overdo songwriting about love? You either do or don’t and every song writer does. It’s no secret that she will write about you if you date her. Any guy would know it when starting a relationship with her.

All songwriters do write about their love life, but Taylor overdoes it. If I was a guy she was dating and she wrote about are breakup and the details I’d be pretty pissed. She hints at who the song is about.

Every article about love on this website bashes Taylor Swift. Every songwriter writes all about their love life. She is respectful and keeps the person’s identity private. She has never told the public who a song is about, out of respect for the guy. The purpose of the confessional songwriting is to help others who are going through the same thing. Anytime you have a problem or something great happen with love, you have a song to listen to and Taylor to thank for it.
