The Carrie Diaries is premiering in January and there are finally some new promo pics to give us a peek at what the new Carrie Bradshaw will look like. Actress Anna Sophia Robb will be portraying a young Carrie in her days before Sex and The City. The show will take place in the ’80s, which is awesome because they’ll be a ton of vintage fashion eye candy. Check out Carrie, the young, budding writer in New York City.
I watched all of Sex and The City with the same passion as I do with Gossip Girl and Pretty Little Liars. They may not be the “deepest” shows, but they’re fun and have their moments. If you watched it too, I am sure you learned a lot from the SATC girls. They had plenty to teach us about life, love and fashion . . . sort of.
Going Topless Is Totally Legal In New York City
From the amount of times the girls whipped a nip out in public I think I am pretty clear on the nudity laws in New York City. Also, wearing a bra is optional, ladies!
Having Debt Is Fine As Long As You Have Shoes
In the episode “Ring-A-Ding-Ding
” Carrie realizes she is in debt because she has spent $40,000 on shoes. That’s more than college tuition in some places. It’s all worth looking fabulous though, you know, since her shoe addiction didn’t falter for even a second.
Brunch Is The Most Important Meal Of The Day
Samantha ran her own PR company, Miranda was partner at a law firm, Charlotte was an art curator and Carrie was a writer. It totally makes sense that with these not-demanding-at-all jobs they’d be able to meet for brunch every single day.
We All Need One Of These
Sex and The City’s ability to embrace female masturbation empowered women and battery companies all over the world.
Yeah, for the most part the girls end up satisfied with their love lives, but for six seasons they made dating look pretty crappy. Remember when that guy peed on Carrie? When Charlotte re-virginized to marry a man who, after they got married, could not sleep with her? Remember when Berger and Carrie broke up over a scrunchie? The show did not get me stoked to go out and play the field.
