Last night were the VP Debates and you guys blew up on Facebook sharing your personal views and beliefs on women’s reproductive rights. We were so freaking psyched to see you guys voicing super smart ideas that were critical of each candidate. And? All this happened without anybody insulting or undermining anyone else’s beliefs. (Some of our political candidates have yet to accomplish that much.) We love that you are exercising your American right to be involved in the important decisions that affect everyone.
We Asked: What do you guys think about what Biden and Ryan are saying about women’s health and our right to make our own decisions when it comes to abortion?
Pro-Biden!
Ashley Evelyn Potter: I just love Biden for accepting that women should decide what to do with their own bodies and not be told what to do by men.
Cynthia Hernandez: Biden is on point. He doesn’t allow his religious values to interfere with how ANY american women can rule their own body. Every woman should have the choice of what they can do with their body, that should not be taken away from them because of someone’s religious idea of life.
Amanda Jimenez: Biden hit the nail on the head. If we MUST have a middle aged man representing our health rights, I would love for it to be Joe Biden. We are lucky to have someone who actually believes that it is our right to our own bodies to do what we please with them.
Pro-Ryan!
Elizabeth Marie Nelsen: Since I think abortion is murder, obviously I think Biden is a bastard!
Marianna Bowden: Nobody said that they were making abortion illegal. The Romney/Ryan campaign don’t believe in abortion but that doesn’t mean that they are outlawing it. I’m sure abortion is at the bottom of their to do list.
Kelsey Hill: My biggest problem with abortion is the fact that I know young people who use it as birth control. And I agree with Marianna, I think the only reason the Obama administration is pushing it is because they have no other legs to stand on.
The Epic Moderate!
Khara God’sChild Brown: Honestly, I’m anti abortion but pro-choice. Just because I believe a certain thing doesnt mean that I have the right to force it upon others. I love gay, bi, etc. people but I don’t think they should have a “marriage” I think it should be a partnership, but does that mean I ruin someone’s wedding? No. I don’t believe that someone’s right to control their own body should be taken away. These males can have sex with whatever, whenever and only have to worry about STDs. They don’t have to worry about being shamed for having a child out of wedlock or not knowing the father. They can walk away from it all but we can’t. We should be the ones making the decisions about our bodies. When will women finally be equal to men? When will we have total control over our destinies like they do? When can we make the same amount for the same jobs? Where does it start? At home. In your own skin. If we let them decide what we can and cannot do to our bodies, we might as well start getting fitted for orange jumpsuits and shackles. No one wants to be imprisoned in their own bodies.

I think it’s kind of annoying that the girls here only talked about the issues related to women. Sure they’re problems, but they’re not the biggest problems this country has right now.
It is a womans right to be able to choose what she wants to do. No one should tell her that she can or cannot do something with her own body. Mitt Romney will take away our right to choose. That is why we must vote for Obama!
