I seriously mourn for the days of old-school cartoons like NickToons. Yeah, I’m sure there are some good cartoons on TV right now, but nothing will ever compare to my old standbys like Rugrats, Doug or Hey! Arnold. And since I can’t watch new episodes anymore, I guess the next best thing is to dress like my favorite characters.
And no, I’m not just talking about for Halloween- although that is an excellent idea. It’s so much easier than you think to copy the style of some of your fave cartoon characters… after all, they do wear the same thing every episode. Check out these ways to mimic cartoon fashion for school, hanging with friends, or going on hot dates (PS: if you click on the image, you’ll get all the details on where you can buy the clothes):
Eliza Thornberry, The Wild Thornberrys

Debbie Thornberry, The Wild Thornberrys

Which of these characters is your favorite? Who did I miss? Which cartoon characters do you want to dress like? Tell me in the comments!

I wanna dress like Suzie Carmichael from The Rugrats, or Number 5 from Kids Next Door, or Valerie Brown from Josie and the Pussycats. I don’t see any BLACK or otherwise characters from our classic shows…
Because a monster isn’t diverse at all. *Smh*
I was Judy Funnie last year. It was a huge hit and I was the most comfortable person there.
if you could show me how to dress up as danny phantom that would be great. also, thanks for the helga one
susie carmichael!!!!!
This is great!! a good excuse to buy clothes too
Wow, Judy Funnie’s partially-shaved head hairstyle is totally coming back into fashion!
Also, I kinda resent that a couple of the characters’ baggy grungy pants were replaced with leggings in the clothing suggestions. Not in the (late) 90′s! Break the skinny jeans status quo!!!
too funny, I actually found a Polyvore today with tons of disney-princess and my little pony inspired outfits! http://grace-buerklin.polyvore.com/
