It makes me really mad when people assume that anytime I have an opinion about something, or am upset in any way, I must have PMS, also known as premenstrual syndrome. But what is PMS, anyway? Let’s talk about the real facts here:
* During your menstrual cycle, your hormone levels go up and down, especially right before your period. These hormone changes can affect lots of things and make you experience symptoms of PMS.
* Not all women are affected as strongly by PMS. Some women and girls feel almost nothing, while others need to be on prescription medication to function normally!
* Symptoms of PMS can include acne, cramps, bloating, irritability, swollen breasts, anxiety, and even depression.
* Over the counter medication like Advil, Aleve, or Pamprin can help a lot of people who suffer from PMS.
