The Best iPhone and iPod Apps To Download From iTunes Store

What’s the best thing about your iPhone? Not the sleek design, the fact that you can store all your music or the amazing camera…no, I’m pretty sure it’s the apps you can download. There are so many options out there that it’s insane…and just a teensy bit overwhelming. So what are the best apps to cure your boredom? Don’t worry girl, we’ve got you covered.

Whether you’re just playing around with your iPhone in bed or trying to kill time between classes, any of these apps will keep you occupied for hours. Most of them are pretty simple, but that doesn’t mean they’re not also super fun. Oh, and they can be played on your iPod too, in case you don’t have an iPhone! Check out our faves:

Bejeweled

Bejeweled is one of my favorite games ever to play on my iPhone. Not only does it feature incredibly bright colors and an awesome design, but it’s such a simple yet challenging game. Just line up the jewels and go. I can play this for hours, literally…mainly because I can’t seem to get past level 6.

Bubble Bust!

This is another game that’s sort of similar to Bejeweled and just as entertaining. You burst bubbles to get to the top. There are tons of levels and you won’t be able to put it down until you win. I even kept playing after I beat the game!

Instagram

This is probably a pretty popular option already, since it’s become one of the most popular apps ever. But if you haven’t jumped on the Instagram bandwagon, do it…now. You can post your own new pictures or play around and edit old ones. And it’s really fun to get a glimpse into the lives of strangers through their photos – some good and some bad. Download and be prepared to be completely hooked.

SongPop

I love apps that allow you to compete with your friends (or random strangers from around the world) even when you’re sitting by yourself in your bedroom. And if you love music, you’ll love SongPop. You get to listen to snippets of songs and try to guess what it is. Trust us, it’s harder than it seems.

Akinator

Akinator is fun to play on your own or with someone else. Plus, Akinator is kind of a genius. You can think of pretty much any famous person in the world (celebs, sports players, models…) and Akinator will ask questions and guess who you’re thinking of by just a few insanely easy hints. It’s CRAZY. Prepare to have your mindblown.

Monster Soup

This is one of my favorite games to play on my iPhone because the graphics are just too freakin’ adorable. I mean, you’re playing with little, tiny monsters! This game is also way more challenging than it seems. And that’s fun, because who wants something they can just beat in an hour?

Hello Kitty Café

Fans of Hello Kitty, you need to download this (free!) app. Basically, you’re helping Hello Kitty and her Sanrio friends run a café, and I swear, that’s much more fun than it sounds. It’s exciting trying to get everything done on time – you almost feel like you actually run a café.

What’s My IQ?

Test your smarts with this awesome app that might even help you get better grades in school (don’t hold me to that, though). It might sound like homework, but it’s much more fun than that. And if you get caught playing in class? Just claim that it’s educational!

Hair Makeover

If you’ve ever wondered what you would look like with a totally different hairstyle, but you don’t actually want to do anything to your hair, than this app is perfect. Upload a picture of yourself and then try on a bunch of different hairstyles! Oh, and upload pics of your family and friends too. Who knows, maybe you’ll be inspired to do a real life makeover.

OutColor 2

This app lets you play around with photos in the coolest way possible. You can make your favorite pictures look 3D, like the people are coming out of picture frames or TVs! I’m not really doing the description justice, but trust me: this is just fun to play around with.
