How Do You Actually Sleep With Your Boyfriend?

Sleeping with a guy

Don’t worry – it’s not as scary as it seems! | Source: ShutterStock

Check out what’s new on our boards! Right now, girls are talking about actually sleeping (as in ZzZz) with their boyfriend:

Okay so when I say “sleeping”, I don’t mean sex, I mean legit sleeping. My boyfriend’s friend is having a campfire and I was invited along with his friends’ girlfriend. I’m sleeping with my BF and vice versa.

Here’s my problem: I have been told by friends that I kick and move a lot in my sleep, and sometimes I talk in my sleep. I don’t want to be kicking him the whole night, or saying weird\embarrassing things. Also I don’t want to wake up looking like a mess. Any advice about this whole situation?

Got something to add to this convo? Then go for it, girl. Tell us what you think in the boards: what’s your advice on actually sleeping with a guy? How do you deal with it the first time?

Oh lordy I kick like hell but we play fight most of the time anyway so we’d probably just joke that I was so desperate to fight him more it was even subliminal haha

sleeping next to a boyfriend is one of the loveliest things :) it honestly isn’t weird and he will think that you look absolutely beautiful first thing in the morning because he will be half asleep and the two of you would have shared something intimate and special :)

    Lol so do I!!!!

Just start the night cuddling and then, when you want to go to sleep, just take your side of the bed. You can also talk to him about it, so there won’t be no surprise for him.

You can’t really stop the kicking, moving about, and talking in your sleep.. But maybe if your cuddling with him it might not actually happen as much as it does, as you already have something to do: cuddle him. And waking up looking like a mess? if he’s a good boyfriend he won’t mind! :D hope I helped.

Warn him that you kick/sleep talk, don’t worry about how you look when you wake up, I mean you’re camping. It’s not like your going to look fantastic anyways and I’m sure he probably knows that. If you’re an extreme kicker use different blankets. Then you don’t have to worry too much about hurting him. If you do end up sleep talking, it’ll be something funny later. My boyfriend and I have caught some z’s together, and I am a ninja/blanket hog, but when I’m with him it all goes away. Probably because all you want to do is stay silent/still and remember the moment. Good luck though! <3

Try sleeping not so close to him, like give yourself some breathing space if u kno what i mean .

warn him… but maybe in a joke type way. :)

also, try not to sleep! or not to much. pull a fun all nighter!

or, if you really want to sleep, just go with it. snuggle, be yourself… if you do kick him, i am sure it will only get as bad as a joke in the morning. :)
