Celebrity feuds can get messy. In any environment, work or school, there’s going to be one of your peers that you just don’t like or have major dramz with. The downside of being a celeb is that all that drama becomes majorly public. Most of which I am pretty sure is just rumors. Nevertheless, growing up, it was always fun to pick a side. If you liked N’Sync you were way more into dancing. If you liked the Backstreet Boys you were way more into mushy, love ballads.

I wouldn’t recommend getting too invested in any celebrity’s life. However, some of these feuds got pretty heated so it’s not surprising they made headlines. Songs were written, money was lost, and a lot of people got fired.

Hilary Duff vs. Lindsay Lohan

Way back when these girls were teens, Lindsay supposedly stole Hilary’s man: Aaron Carter. Yes Aaron “That’s How I Beat Shaq” Carter. In 2005 Aaron really helped to clear things up, “I started dating Hilary on my 13th birthday… I was dating her for like a year-and-a-half and then I just got a little bored so I went and I started getting to know Lindsay, dating Lindsay. Then I didn’t want to do that anymore, so I got back with Hilary. And then I ended up cheating on Hilary with her best friend. That’s nothing to smile about. She wasn’t even that good looking either.” It sounds like these two rivals should’ve been pissed at Aaron–not each other.

X-Tina vs. Eminem

It all started when Eminem accused Christina of sleeping with Fred Durst and Carson Daly in the song “The Real Slim Shady”–like, so what if she did? I smell a little slut shaming here. Christina was pretty PO’ed and released a response track called “Will The Real Slim Shady Please Shut Up?”. Here are some of the lyrics, “Little twit blasts me on his new CD. Why? ‘Cause I turned him down for a date. As for the question of who came first, was it Carson Daly or was it Fred Durst? I’m sorry Slim, but this is gonna hurt. They both came closer than you ever will, jerk.”

Britney vs. Justin

We’ll never know what actually happened. Supposedly, Britney cheated on J.T. and that whole “Cry Me A River” song, it was about her. It’s totally OK though, they were a power couple only meant for an era where wearing matching denim outfits was considered cool.

Paris vs. Nicole

This is kind of a bummer. Not just because The Simple Life was an amazing reality TV series, but these two were actually BFFs for a really long time. The dynamic duo split in 2005. After a few years Nicole Richie revealed why they had a falling out, “When I got out of rehab, I had to figure out what path to go down, and part of that included taking certain people out of my life. I just decided I didn’t want to be her (Hilton’s) friend anymore. We’re just two completely different people; we don’t have that much in common.” I totally get her decision, she’s probably better off–but I am sure it must have hurt.

Destiny’s Child Version 1

When member’s LaToya Luckett and LaTavia Roberson felt that their manager (who happens to be Bey’s dad) was keeping too much of their cash and unfairly favoring Beyonce and Kelly they were kicked out of the band. Let’s just say the two girls were surprised when they saw the “Say My Name” video . . . and they weren’t in it.

Destiny’s Child Version 2

Michelle Williams and Farrah Franklin replaced Latoya and Latavia. Soon after Farrah found out she was fired from the band through an MTV News report. Needless to say she was a little pissed.

Sarah Jessica Parker vs. Kim Cattrall

Although Carrie Bradshaw and Samantha Jones were BFFs on screen they can definitely be categorized as frenemies in real life. The actresses’ twelve-year work relationship has led to consistent rumors about them bashing each other, giving each other the silent treatment on set, and fighting over the spotlight. Here is what Sarah had to say, “When you’re on set, you’re working 90-hour weeks, you’re never home, you’re exhausted. There are times when all of us have been sensitive and sometimes feelings get hurt. But I don’t have any regrets about how I’ve treated people.”

Shannen Doherty vs. Alyssa Milano

Who can forget Charmed? The show about three sister-witches fighting demonic creatures. Remember how Pru, Shannen Doherty’s character, was killed off? Now you know why. Alyssa and Shannen did NOT get along and one of them just had to go to preserve the show. Though Shannen was the star initially, Alyssa gained a ton of popularity and endorsement deals. Some say it was jealousy, but who knows? Things got so bad the producers even hired a mediator to come to a resolution. We all know how that worked out.

Courtney Love vs. Dave Grohl

After the Nirvana lead singer passed way, drummer Dave Grohl, bassist Krist Novoselic and Courtney Love formed a coalition to decide how Nirvana’s later projects and profits would be managed. Courtney quickly dropped out of their agreement and suggested that she knew what Nirvana needed best because she was Kurt Cobain’s wife. Dave, being an actual member of the band, wasn’t too happy about that. These two have been fighting about “what Kurt would want” for nearly two decades now.

Tonya Harding vs. Nancy Kerringan

Figure skaters get down and dirty. Tonya let her competitive jealousy get the better of her when she and her husband hired someone to attack Nancy by hitting her leg with a police baton. The injury led to Nancy withdrawing from the National Competition and Tonya eventually plead guilty in court.
