What’s more interesting is that Rupert Sanders is being kept on as director. Even though Kristen and Rupert are both guilty of having an affair during the filming of the movie, it’s Kristen who has to suffer the consequences? This is no different than that girl at your school who gets called a “slut” because she kissed a boy who had a girlfriend, while he gets high fives for hooking up with two chicks. (Remember the Craig/Manny/Ashley love triangle on Degrassi?)
I can’t help but think this is just a bit (a lot) unfair. While both did something pretty effed up, it’s clear Kristen is getting most of the heat for it. Let’s remember this guy is older, has a wife and kids and was Kristen’s BOSS.
I’m not saying Kristen isn’t smart enough to know right from wrong, but this guy clearly used his position of power to take advantage of the situation. Even if he did ACTUALLY like Kristen, even if they were super compatible, at 41 years old and as a showbiz veteran, Rupert has a bit more wisdom than the lovely K-Stew.
A) He knows how this can affect a young girl’s career, but he ignored that fact.
B) He knows he shouldn’t be cheating on his wife and hurting his children, he ignored that fact.
C) Any boss knows that he shouldn’t sleep with an employee, he ignored that fact.
D) Everyone knows that the paparazzi is everywhere, especially up K-Stew’s butt, so there is no way they wouldn’t get caught. They both ignored this fact.
I am sure what Rupert also knew is that Hollywood is a lot more critical of women and that it treats young actresses like disposable tissues. Use ‘em and lose ‘em. I am pretty sure he knew his career would be in tact, while hers would suffer.
I am not a huge Kristen Stewart fan and as much as I would be fine with never seeing her act again, I’d rather it not be on these terms. She may not have proven to me that she is a star, but she has pretty much proven to the WORLD that she is. People want to see her movies and they prove that time and time again by buying tickets and making them huge hits. She clearly has something and that should be the end of it. Making a mistake in her personal life should NOT be the end of it. (It shouldn’t be the end for him either.)
What do you think about K-Stew’s punishment? Will you see Snow White without her? Let us know in the comments!

Hollywood also treats children differently. If ur a celebrity, u would need 2 be under 20. Otherwise, ur TOO YOUNG 2 not be in Disney! Willow Smith is a perfect example!!!
Yes! This is their chance 2 find sum1 talented 2 play Snow White! Also, that director should b fired, 2.
She wasn’t actually cut from the movie, though. It was just a rumor. Otherwise I agree with everything.
but i thought that before i read an article that said they were going to keep kristen and fire the director
I do think that the cheating thing has been blown way out of proportion, and I agree that Kristen is getting most of the blame while Rupert Sanders did something equally wrong. However, I honestly don’t see a problem with the franchise dropping Kristen. They are not obligated to help her career or ensure that she and Rupert get equal opportunities. They’re making decisions based on how they think the film will be affected. Moviegoers won’t care about the director’s personal life as much as the leading actress’s.
its not unfair, they don’t want someone with a bad reputation to star in their show.
its all business.
I think having her dropped has more to do with the fact that she can’t act worth shit more then the scandal.
I totally agree with you..her acting was horrible..and I think Gurl shouldn’t just jump to conclusions about this matter.
I don’t blame them for getting rid of her. Yes I know it takes two to cheat, and it w’s a really dumb move on both their parts, however can you really say you blame the wife for not wanting her husband to work with Kristen Stewart? I can’t. Not saying its right he’s getting away with it but still.
how do you know it’s his wife.. it could be more like the people PAYING for the movie to be made.. either way it’ll be odd having a different main character than it would be having a different director. If anything they both should be penalized not just one.
I know what she did was wrong, but i feel like it’s only her being punished. It takes two to cheat, and if she gets fired (which she shouldn’t really) then so should he. Totally unfair.
Is that the real reason she was dropped though? Did she quit? This article contains no facts at all to back up that assumption.
She definitely didn’t quit and all of the articles I read (one of which is linked in the piece) suggest this is the reason. Though, the studio isn’t really going to admit that because it would look bad, obviously. It’s a little odd when a studio drops a leading actor, just after they have a hit movie, and before the public would even be thinking about a sequel. There are also rumors that Liberty Ross has forbid Rupert Sanders from ever working with Kristen Stewart again.
That’s what she gets for cheating on Rob :/
No, you shouldn’t lose your entire career because of cheating. She doesn’t deserve that and it’s disgusting that the director is essentially getting out of this with nothing more than a slap on the wrist. If we’re going to go down that route, he should lose his privilege of directing the next Snow White film and have the same chance of losing his job at his production company. Having your reputation and career ruined because of a mistake in a relationship isn’t right and Kristen shouldn’t have to go through all of this.
I compleatly agree with Michelle.
