Keeping a secret can be tough when it’s super juicy, right? | Source
If you’re tempted to spill some juicy gossip you just heard, stop yourself before you text your BFF and consider these questions: Is it absolutely true? Is there a chance the story could get twisted? Will this come back to bite me in the butt? Would someone be hurt by my telling someone else this? Am I just looking for an easy way to bond with a pal over someone else’s business?
If you answered “yes” to any of those, don’t tell. It’s not going to be worth the guilt, the drama, or the hurt that could potentially be caused by not keeping a secret. And think of it this way: If you tell your friends everyone else’s business, do you really think they’re going to tell you about theirs?

I’m 13 and there are some girls in my class who smoke. Their friend told me and also said that I wasn’t allowed to tell anyone, but I couldn’t keep it to myself and told my friends and my parents. Was that wrong?
No way! Smoking is bad for you and they need to break the habit early!
