Ohmygawwwww . . . Amanda Bynes is just the latest stupid celebrity to decide that drunk driving is a good idea–but the truth is, drunk driving is NEVER a good idea–and celebs (just like everyone else) have zero excuse to get behind the wheel after they’ve had a few.

First of all, let’s go down the list of celebs who’ve been arrested for driving under the influence in the past few years: We’ve got Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Khloe Kardashian, plus even more clueless stars than I can count. And the thing most of them have in common? They’re not known for being cute. Or smart. Or awesome. They’re known for being superficial egomaniacs who attract more drama than they’re worth (could have something to do with the fact that they drink and drive?!).

The other thing they all have in common is that they have enough money to call a cab or to even have a fancy-pants paid chauffeur waiting to whisk them away after a night out.

I’m not saying celebs (and normal girls!) shouldn’t have the right to go out and party it up a little once they’re of legal age, but come on, people. Lives (including your own) are on the line whenever you decide to drive drunk. Yes, calling a friend or parent to pick you up when you’re drunk is embarrassing and could maybe get you in trouble–but trust me, getting pulled over for a DUI (or maybe even killing someone) because you’re drunk driving is a TON more horrible.
