I disagree with the one that says “quit your job two weeks before you’re expected to.” I believe this puts a bad image on yourself – quitting your job for no reason other than to have fun because “you only live once”? It looks bad on you, and it causes the employer to scramble to find a replacement with no notice.
You can have fun during the summer and still work too. Plus, with a job, you’ll have money so you CAN “go to an amusement park” or just enjoy your weekends during the school year when you have less time to work (meaning less income).

“And FYI the people on this website work really hard to bring you quality content for FREE, if you don’t like it, you can GTFO.”

Actually, they make money. See the advertising left, right, and center? They are being payed to post it. And just because you don’t like me, doesn’t mean I have to leave. Suck it up. You don’t have to read what I say. If the gURL staff really didn’t like my comment, they could have not approved my comment or confronted me about it. I don’t think it was that mean.

Woah, why are you all being so harsh? I made a comment about how not many people write letters or read books anymore, which is the truth. No need to get upset, accuse me of being uneducated (90% average, bitch) or curse at me. Relax.

Reading 50 Shades of Grey won’t get just the brain juices flowing.

Just because you don’t like that stuff doesn’t mean you have to be derogatory. Plenty of people still do these things, and we don’t need people like you putting others down, making them feel like s*** because you’re not educated enough to appreciate it.

And FYI the people on this website work really hard to bring you quality content for FREE, if you don’t like it, you can GTFO. I for one think they are doing an amazing job. Keep it up guys!

(L)iveyourlife, I don’t normally write messages on here, but I had to say something. You ask who writes letters any more? The point is, hardly any of us do, and that’s what Gurl is trying to say. It’s a good thing to do in the Summer, something we don’t do a lot. Also, I am honestly shocked you think not many teenagers our age read books. I read books all the time. Constantly. When I’m on my laptop, my book is next to me to read in case the computer is slow. I hardly ever watch TV, I just read. And sure, okay, maybe you’re going to say I’m so sad for doing that, but reading is the one thing I will never stop doing for the rest of my life. Loads of people read. Ok, you don’t. Fine.

Was this made in the 90s? Who writes letters anymore? Or reads books? lol

      i do.

I agree with Coolalacrystal. Books will never, ever grow old. I honestly find them WAY more entertaining than tv or film. I know you’re probably not going to listen to this, but I really, really recommend that you start to read. You will enjoy it, as long as you read a good book. Try The Hunger Games. It is phenomenal. I am obsessed with it. It is amazing. READ IT. Improve your life!

Okay. I’m just saying. EVERYONE SHOULD READ THE HUNGER GAMES.

      Okay bye.
