See, I have never actually DATED someone before. And now that I am I don’t know when I should consider myself not single? Right now, I am seeing someone but still sort of single? I don’t know. Is there ever a specific moment when you say you’re together?

Well…I’ve had boyfriends before. I’m currently in a relationship. I’ve never actually went on a “date” before…actually going somewhere just the two of us. We always went out in a group with friends. So I don’t think you should judge it by how many dates you’ve been on really.
Maybe you should ask the person you’re “dating”. They might be confused about whether you guys are together or not too. It all depends on what “you” define as together…what “you” define as single, but you also need to talk to your girlfriend/boyfriend…because “you” might have different definitions of what those words mean and you don’t want to be crossing a line that makes them weird.
I guess I’m old fashioned because I believe in the guy actually asking me to be his girl! I don’t know, I always thought that gesture was cute and reassuring. Anyways, I hate to automatically assume that I’m going with someone. One of my exes did that. He automatically assumed that we were going out because we flirted a couple of times and kissed… Like we dated for like almost a month and I didn’t even know it!!! then he got mad when I asked if we were going out SMH…
I think it’s just better if it was said verbally and had a mutual understanding, so the guessing game could be avoided! My bf now did it..
I think that calling someone your boyfriend is when you two have decided collectively that you’re exclusive, and that neither of you are going to be seeing anyone else.
