One Direction are capable of quite a lot of things–topping the charts, breaking the record for fastest selling out of Madison Square Garden, and generally making us swoon. But who knew they could deliver babies, too?

Well, sort of. One Direction members Louis Tomlinson (the romantic) and Zayn Malik (with the impeccable coif) pranked their bandmates hardcore with the help of Nickelodeon. The mischievous duo had an actress posing as a very pregnant Nickelodeon staffer during a meeting–and the hilarity ensued pretty quickly.

The woman begins messing with the boys with some relatively simple, if slightly unusual, requests–she swaps seats with them, has them move some furniture for her, and they sing to her unborn baby in what may be the most endearing thing you’ll see all day. But they may have sounded too good–because she went into labor!

Louis, whose “mum” is a nurse, runs off to call for help, and Zayn can barely keep a straight face–but you gotta remember that they’re both in on it. We were most impressed with Harry Styles, who doesn’t leave the woman’s side and does just about everything he can to make her comfortable. Niall Horan just looks baffled and nervous (here’s hoping that if they’re an item, he and Demi Lovato use a lot of protection, because this boy cannot handle birthin’ a baby!), wandering around wide eyed, while Liam Payne leaves the best voicemail he can muster in their panicked state. We have to give them a lot of credit–even when the woman farts, they keep their cool.

We’re not sure if we should give Harry too much credit though, if only because his intentions may not have been the most pure. When the prank was unveiled, a sheepish Styles admitted, “I was thinking, this is going to be a great press story–‘One Direction delivers child!’” Oh, who are we kidding? It actually makes us love him more for being so savvy.
