10 Weird Hair Gadgets

Hair gadgets: Good ideas with a range of meh to bad results. These contraptions are supposed to make doing your hair super easy and quick, when really they take about a million years to figure out, get your hair in, and then you look like a hot mess anyway. Even if some of these worked, you’d still look kind of absurd unless you were eight years old, a princess or a pirate.

Does anyone actually own these? 10 weird hair gadgets that have us wondering: Do these even work?

The Flowbee

No, I don’t know why it’s called a “Flowbee” either. It’s a trimmer that you connect to your vacuum cleaner. Not terrifyingly loud at all.

The Hair Jeweler

I just can’t seem to find the appropriate occasion to wear plastic crystals on my head.

The Bumpit

I am sure there are a ton of these in Snooki’s closet. But I don’t think Snooki even wears the “Snooki Bump” anymore!

The Bango

It’s a plastic clamp you place over your bangs so that you can cut them evenly. I cannot even hold a ruler straight and trace a perfect line–you’re trusting me to cut my own bangs?

A Wind Diffuser Curler

I honestly don’t know how this works or what you do with it. It’s supposed to connect to your blow dryer and make your hair curly. Please, if you know how this works, let me know!

ConAir Quick Wrapper

This might have been cool in the ’90s, but even then we figured out wrapping pieces of colorful plastic around our hair isn’t exactly chic.

Hairagami

This doesn’t work if you’re hair isn’t super long and I’d be surprise if it doesn’t completely unravel throughout the day.

Coloring Brush

The fact that the red dye is clearly Photoshopped onto the woman’s hair makes me think that it probably doesn’t work.

Girl Crush Hair Beader

I would be scared this machine is going to rip the hair off my head. I just won’t have beaded hair at my birthday party and that is a choice I am willing to live with.

Twist N Clip

Why do I need earrings in my hair? Less is more, people.

I bought the bumpits from the mall, all i wanted was the smallest one for my bangs, and my box didn’t have it, and i was already home and couldn’t return it. When i tried the larger ones i just look like a cone head. I would not recommend them to any one!!

i have the Hairagami, it doesnt work at all. sometimes ill wear around the house as a bracelet. thats pretty much what it is. two slap on bracelets

The harigami is a rip off. you can get the same results with a rolled-up sock. you cut the toe off, roll it into itself or a scrunchie, put your hair in a pony tail, put the pony tail through a sock, spread the hair, put another hair tie around it, twist and pin what’s left… and BAM! perfect bun.

I have the bumpits and hairagami. Neither work the bumpit is O.K but you have to tease your hair which is pretty redundant.

My mom has those bumpit things (but I’ve never seen her wear them) and when i was, like, 5 I had the conair quick wrapper thing but it only worked for my sister, who had hair down to her waist, once so I could never use it and I was afraid to anyway because she had to cut the thing out of her hair afterwards! :O
