If your guy is into sports and you’re not, don’t fake it to impress him–he will figure you out eventually, and your game will backfire! Plus, why would you want to be with someone who doesn’t dig you for you? You’ll get bored and tired of all that work pretty quickly. At the same time, you don’t want to hang around frowning, either. If he wants to watch a game, offer to meet up afterward for a coffee or milkshake.
Conversely, if you are into athletics, awesome! Just a word of caution: If you belch like his buddies when you watch a game with him, he’ll associate you with the guys. And chances are he doesn’t want to make out with them. (And if he does, consider yourself in the friend zone for life.) Instead of acting like a frat boy, make sure to high-five him when things are going good (physical contact is awesome!) and maybe ask if he’d like to get together and shoot some hoops one on one after the game. Ooh la la!
