Making eye contact will make your date feel special–and he should, ’cause not everyone is lucky enough to go out with someone as awesome as you! You want to be careful not to like, leer at the dude (think of how creepy old guys stare at you at the mall), but let him know you’re engaged. It’ll make whatever you happen to be talking about seem automatically more intriguing, and you’ll appear confident–which is hot!

I would actually always recommend sitting across from each, sitting next to each other is not average and really awkward for the other person however if there is a big group then you can sit next to your date like in a booth.

Actually, there’s a scientific study that shows that guys tend to feel more close to a girl when talking side by side, while girls tend to feel more close by talking face to face. So, if you really like the guy and want to be with him you better sit side by side.
