It’s your first day and your new supervisor asks you to, “Crop these photos to 400×300.” You have no idea what that means. What do you do? Panic? Cry? Check Facebook? Nope. In an internship you should know some of the things they expect you to do, but it’s also OK if you don’t know everything.
You’re there to learn, remember? That doesn’t mean bombarding your supervisor with questions every time you’re unsure of something. Google is your friend and so are other interns.
See if you can figure out what to do on your own or ask another intern for help. Then, if you really have no idea, ask your supervisor for clearer directions.
